Supplying a 4,800 g package of canned meat
Project Story
In the State of Palestine – Gaza, where more than 1.1 million people face food insecurity according to World Food Programme reports, the shortage of protein sources has become an increasingly critical challenge. This is further compounded by the limited availability of fresh meat and its soaring prices—when available—by over 70% since the beginning of the crisis. With the ongoing electricity shortages affecting storage and refrigeration, access to safe and stable protein has become an urgent necessity.
In response to this reality,Together for Development presents a specialized project for the supply of canned meat packages to the State of Palestine – Gaza. The project follows a precise production chain, starting with sourcing meat from trusted suppliers, then slaughtering and processing it in accordance with Islamic and health standards, and finally canning it in a way that preserves its nutritional value and ensures suitability for storage conditions in Gaza for up to two years.
The project is implemented in partnership with accredited field operators, and allows individuals and institutions to delegate Together for Development to procure and deliver high-quality canned meat packages to Gaza. These packages are safely and systematically distributed to targeted families, in cooperation with internationally recognized legal and humanitarian partners.
This ongoing initiative is not only an immediate response to urgent needs, but also forms part of a sustainable development model aimed at strengthening food security in an extremely complex environment.
